Always stay here for our winter getaway and for the money it’s one of the better value gay venues.
Apartments are kept nice and clean and staff are friendly and sweet natured. It’s a nice place to relax after partying at night.
Also always book our winter getaway away with Gay Maspalomas. These guys have been around a while when most other gay holiday specialists have gone . They look after all your requests and we have never had any issues. We would recommend to use them if you want them to take care of all your gay Gran Canaria holiday needs. Thanks guys .

A wonderful place to stay. Place is kept spotlessly clean. All staff including owners are very hardworking and do their best for every guest. Place is in an ideal location, beach is less than 10 min walk in one direction, yumbo the same in the opposite direction. Definitely will be back.

The place is beautiful and the energy is excellent. As a recurring guest I established real great friendships with other recurring guests. I’m looking forward to my next stay

The Tropical La Zona resort is largely responsible for making me falling in love with Gran Canaria.
ideally situated at a 5 minutes walking from Yumbo and very close to restaurants and supermarkets, Tropical La Zona is a space of freedom and friendliness. Surrounded by luxurious gardens and palm trees, the focus of the resort is the central pool, where people can relax, swim, sunbathe and connect.
One thing to be said is that the Tropical La Zona is a naturist resort, so it might not be suitable for everyone who is susceptible to be offended by nudity; however, i have never felt uncomfort of any sort from anyone, and those who are not in the mood for naturism can simply stay covered: freedom and respect are always the number one rule here. And if you’re in a cheecky/horny mood, a cruising area is available for all guests.
Other than that, the place is clean, live with colors and prone to encourage people to connect and make friends.
The place could have been rated 5 stars, but there are some things that must be improved, thus making me take one star off : while on one hand the bungalows are spacious and and pretty well equipped, on the other some parts need serious updating, like, for instance, the bathrooms (in my bungalow the inner door was consumed with a rusty peel due to humidity; the shower was too dark with the tiles of the plate too uncomfortable and slippery and felt more reassured by showering with my flip-flops on). Also the idea of twin beds united as a one big bed is not so good, they always drift away when…in action. Either make one only big one bed or two separate twins.
Moreover, I don’t want to sound ungrateful (I am not I swear), but i have something to say about the famous “welcome drink”: when checking-in the clerk said that one can ask for any drink at the bar, which is totally nice and cool; but when presenting the welcome drink ticket to the bar, the barman said that it only covered soft drinks or water. I mean, it is cool to have something offered, but it’d be much cooler to be upfront immediately and present it as a soft welcome drink instead (in my case it made me feel uncomfortable as I was asked to pay for my drink, while being told that my ticket was not good for what I ordered). But this is just a very small thing, the rest was really nice and fine and spent one amazing holiday, and left me very eager to return.
