Homage to Dario Jaén and Charity Gala for ACES

The show at Thursday, is traditionally dedicated to ACES (Amigos contra el SIDA - local HIV assistance).
The 3rd Show of the Gay Pride Gran Canaria 2011 was also in the memory of Dario Jaén.

Dario Jaén a long-time and honorable member of ACES and GLAY (Gay and Lesbian Association Yumbo) died suddenly on the 7th January 2011.

This show was specially dedicated to him, because without the commitment and tireless efforts
of Dario Jaen the Gay Pride Maspalomas would not be what it is today - a fantastic event in Gran Canaria

At this point many, many thanks!

And to ACES (Amigos contra el Sida), this charity gala was dedicated to is a great and very valuable organization in Gran Canaria.
Every donation is applied exactly where it is needed most, to those below us who suffer from this diabolical virus!

For charity, candles and red ribbons were sold to the people, who built with the candles a huge ribbon in Yumbo Center, after the show.

An emotional and rather quiet show on the main stage in C.C. Yumbo!

The show began today at 10pm with a very emotional performance.
The sister of Dario Jaén and a good friend of his family spoke personal words, while pictures of Dario Jaén were shown.

The GLAY Board joined them on the stage and along with the audience there was an one-minute applause for Dario.

After that and before the artists entered the stage, an emotional and thought-provoking Trailer
was shown, that has pointed out the horrors of the HI Virus and which mentioned alarming numbers!

With these impressions a quieter show started, which was dominated by many ballads.

  Another long list of great artists and each one did a great show again!
  
  Ladina began with a quiet ballad, and then showed a premiere on the main stage in C.C. Yumbo.
  A German Song, performed by an English native speaker, Verbotene Liebe/Forbidden Love - Great!
  
  Ivan Banderas took again care of the audience and entertained them with a sexy show,
  together with the Esensual Dancers!
  
  Also Eva la Diva and Jaymi surprised today with great ballads - Eva la Diva with her great voice and I Have Nothing from Whitney Houston and Jaymi with Unbreak My Heart (Spanish Version).
  
  This show was a perfect mixture between ballads and party in rememberance of Dario Jaén
  and as a charity gala for ACES!
