The "Mini Marathon" in High Heels around the Yumbo Center

A new event which has never been part of Pride in Maspalomas before!

The background is also a protest towards Madrid - For many years, the Carrera de Tacones (race in high heels) was a large, popular and great event during Pride in Madrid - A "mini marathon" in Madrid's gay District "Chueca"!

Regrettably, the Ayuntamiento (town hall) from Madrid decided to ban ​​this event - but not in Gran Canaria, as Maspalomas stands for tolerance, diversity and freedom...

This is the background, why is this event was included in the Pride program of Maspalomas for the first time...

A funny event in 2014, unfortunately with only 6 "competitors" - First the event has to become popular and we are sure, that there will be many more participants for Maspalomas Pride 2015, who run the Mini Marathon on High Heels around the Yumbo Center.

It started below the Show Bar Chez Funny Boys (ground floor Yumbo Center) and ended after 1 1/2 rounds on the main stage!

• 2nd placed: Elvis (50 €)
• 3rd placed: Antonio (50 €)
