The Final Gala Show - Back to the Future, the Gay Pride Maspalomas 2013 is history now...

Back to the Future - Das Finale der Gay Pride 2013

It might be like a repetition of our last reports, but the Final Gala was a really long show, very loooong...
It took almost 5 hours, until the show ended at 02:30am! Unfortunately also in 2013 without a final fireworks...

But there were also great Acts in this show, the audience celebrated till the end!

The last show on the main stage was hosted by Lord Derrick (English - Vice President Glay) and
Ladina (German and Spanish) and started with a serious speech, which we also want to summarize here! (not word by word)

"Very close to Gran Canaria a free life as a gay, lesbian or transgender is unthinkable and it is impossible to live in dignity! There is no freedom and no acceptance!
We are pleased and proud to live here in Gran Canaria, in a country that is very open and offers many opportunities for the LGBT community.
Each year, more countries on this earth allow a homosexual marriage and that's important and good!
GLAY (Gay and Lesbian Association Yumbo) will also continue to campaign for the rights of the LGBT community here in Gran Canarias"

The financial situation of GLAY and thus the Gay Pride Maspalomas:

One of the best and largest Prides in Europe is facing a financial problem.

This year only 30% of the businesses in the Yumbo Center sponsored and supported Gay Pride, but the businesses in this shopping center benefit most from Gay Pride!

The Gay Pride needs the 2/3 of the businesses that did not support this event in 2013, because everyone should be aware of the possible consequences - Without donations and support there will be no Gay Pride in Gran Canaria!!

All need to stick together and thank you to all the businesses that have supported the Gay Pride 2013.

Support Gay Pride in Gran Canaria, each individual guest and of course all the businesses so that this unique event could also take place in 2014.... "

That was certainly a lot of text, but it was and is more important than anything else that this will be mentioned here and be brought to everyone's attention!
Also donations were collected in the Yumbo Center - If every visitors just donates 1 €, this could help a lot!

Of course this was followed by the show, with some really great acts...
Eva La Diva (Euphoria, I just wanna dance ...), GCP from Holland (Rollin' on the river, It's raining men), Lady Gaga Tribute and the highlight Rylan....(UK - Winner of X Factor!)

This is just too name a few artists who performed on the stage during the final gala show...
The atmosphere was really great, till the very end of the show!
