The Gala Show of the Drag Queens in 2014

The Drag Queen Gala - Each year one of the best attended shows on the main stage during the Gay Pride!

Due to "official" information there were more than 10,000 people in the Yumbo Center-
And it was definitely very full and crowded in front of the stage and throughout the C.C. Yumbo...

In recent years, we always had to call this show a mammoth show (> 4 hours), in 2014 it was fine
and the show lasted pleasant 2.5 hours!

This year "only" 8 Drags participated in the competition, which reduced the length of the show,
although the first drag appeared not before 11:30pm on the stage...

The program started with performances of the big show bars in the Yumbo Center (Sparkless Showbar, Rickie 's Caberet Bar and Chez Funny Boys) - Long we had to wait until there was a real party in front of the stage!

And this party began as Kate Ryan appeared on stage with the hits Ella Elle l' a, Voyage Voyage...

The evening was hosted by Isabell Torres (Spanish), Lady Penelope (English) and Ladina (German).

Drag Queen Gala 2014

All performances of the eight Drags in 2014 were good - Comparing to 2013 however less spectacular, when all the Drags were the winners of various Drag Queen Galas during the Canarian Carnival!

Drag Queen 2014 and winner of 750 € Drag Mulciber

Second placed Drag Noa (450 €) and third placed Drag Orion (250 €)

In addition to the cash prize, all three winners received a giftbag with products of "Fundgrube" and a weekend in an hotel...

Saturday from 3:30pm the big parade through the streets of Playa del Ingles, followed by a massive Dance Session in the Yumbo Center!
